Baseball, Apple Pie and Helena Mt that should just about tell you all you need to know for you but if not keep on reading because I’ve surely got more to say. This place is what all the countries of the world think about when they dream of the great American Lifestyle.
Imagine if you will a midsized town in one of the most rugged areas of the Midwestern USA that truly lives up to 80 plus percent of all the metaphors that you would conger up to describe Norman Rockwell’s vision of Americana. Now If you have that firmly in your mind you will have a pretty clear picture of Helena Mt today. It really feels like the slogan should say Baseball, Hotdogs, Apple Pie and Helena Mt without a doubt.
Keep holding it in your mind for me if you will a place where you can ride a miniature train through the center of town and nobody honks or rev’s their motors in anger because they are in too big of a hurry because they started out to late to begin with. Imagine a place that’s nearby lake is known as the gateway to the mountains. You can take a kinda ferry boat thingy ride all along this area and it is absolutely breathtaking. You will be in awe of nature on this boat ride or somebody should refund your money but don’t ask me I’m just the messenger.
The hunting the Helena Mt area has to offer is nothing short of spectacular. There are some mighty big Bucks taken from this area of the country and the good ole boys of Helena Montana have of course taken all the record buck if they have anything to good naturedly say about it which they do and often at the local perk em up (coffee shop).
You know what, that’s just a part of the lure of this place is that good ole boys still exist. I know you know that in our cities all that type of guy are but memories when you dream of a trip to ranch country.
Here, people still take great care about one another they still have bake sales and the kids can still trick or treat door to door without anyone poisoning the treats. They still get together and debate the serious issues of life instead of always worrying about being politically correct or who they might offend. Mothers and their children still gather at the local parks and chit chat while the kids play. And for the most part Baseball isn’t just a trip to see the team at the stadium, no instead it’s putting on the uniform because you are the team.
Yes, Helena Mt is one of those places that make you well up inside reminiscing about the way things used to be even if you are only 14. I truly suggest you go before it changes too much, which I hope it never does.
