With the stresses of work, family schedules, finances and kids, most couples need the occasional break – a romantic retreat to rekindle their romance, invigorate their relationship and give them time to simply relax.
If you’re looking for the perfect romantic getaway that combines worry-free planning, all-inclusive budgeting and romantic sparkle, cruise travel is a great option.
To learn about how to book the best romantic cruise for you and your loved one – regardless of your cruise destination – keep reading for great tips on everything from what to look for in a cruise ship to how to get the best deals for your spouse.
Opt For a Cruise with an Age Limit
The last thing you want on your romantic getaway is to be surrounded by toddlers on their way to a puppet show at the children’s pool. So, book a cruise with an enforced age limit.
Most cruise lines offer cruises that restrict boarding to both individuals 25 and older or married individuals 21 and older. The bulk of these cruises are specifically targeted toward couples and will offer amenities like increased room service, couples’ massages, formal dining and couples’ activities.
If you’re unable to find a cruise with an age limit that’s right for you, most ships offer areas, including pools that are adults-only.
Stay Away From “Singles” Cruises
In contrast to couples’ cruises, some cruise lines offer cruise vacations that are specifically for single travelers or the ’spring break’ party crowd. Unless you want to spend your romantic getaway immersed in loud dance music and terrible pick up lines, you’re going to want to stay away from these options.
Pick a Boat Size That Works For You
A larger boat may have more passengers and a less intimate “feel,” but it also allows for greater anonymity while on-board ship and a larger range of facilities. When choosing a ship, think about what’s important for you in terms of privacy and boat size.
Get the Balcony
As tempting as it may be to book an inside cabin for a discount, know that the space is small and often windowless. If this cruise is a once-in-a-lifetime romantic treat, it’s time to splurge and opt for a cabin with a romantic balcony. When you’re watching the stars go by from bed, you’ll be thankful.
How to Get Great Couples’ Deals
Booking as a couple gives you an advantage. You can often look for “companion” rates that apply to either cabin bookings or air fare to your port. Many cruise lines and some air carriers offer a companion discount for couples traveling together.

Packing the right clothes is a trickier part of planning a Caribbean cruise than you might imagine. Planning for resort wear, beach wear, and special excursions can create more forethought and planning than the Caribbean cruise traveler planned for. But packing wisely will have a very positive effect in terms of stress-free traveling and making the most efficient use of the limited space in your stateroom.
Choosing a single color scheme for your travel clothing that can be mixed with a few other pieces during your Caribbean cruise vacations is the best packing trip. Luggage space can be saved by renting tuxedos on the ship or by packing a simple dress that can be altered for different occasions by the addition of accessories. When going on a Caribbean cruise, coordinate shorts and tops that can be worn with each other. This will cut down on the amount of space you need when packing.
There are a few things you should never forget on a Caribbean cruise, including sunglasses, sunscreen, and of course a camera so you can remember all those great memories. You will be able to have a worry-free vacation if you plan ahead and pack well.

It doesn’t matter what you love doing you will be able to experience it in Arizona. If you love golf, there are some of the most challenging[/spin] golf courses anywhere located in the Phoenix area. If you want to explore the heritage of the Native American way of life you can do that in and around Phoenix too. Just look for the Phoenix Airfare and book your flight to come and explore this wonderful adventure called Arizona.
As soon as you fly into Phoenix the state is at your door. You can travel north to Flagstaff and explore the natural beauty of this mountain forest or travel to Sedona and see some of the most talented creative art anywhere. The rust mountains are a sight to see and the town filled with artists featuring their fabulous craft. As you land in Phoenix, enjoy your Phoenix Arizona travel
As you are descending into Phoenix you can see some of the natural glory of this area whether it is flying over the Grand Canyon or the mountains surrounding the city. You will see wilderness land and developed areas as you fly in.
Golfing is highlighted at many of the top resorts in the state where the courses are carefully cultivated to the professional qualities of the likes of Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer and even Tiger Woods. If you have wanted to play on a course that would be acceptable to this level of golfer then the Phoenix region is where you need to be. Bring your clubs and appreciate the serenity of any of the courses in the area. In Scottsdale alone there are 174 courses for you to choose from, there will be one that certainly fits your wants and skill requirements.
The climate in Arizona offers a wide range of options for your enjoyment. The desert region can reach temperatures well into the 100’s in the summer yet at night drop to below freezing in the winter. The mountain region remains a delightful range of 80’s and 90’s during the summer and gets snow in the winter. You can hike the mountains in the summer and ski them in the winter.
The cheapest flights for Phoenix Airfare are usually in the summer with the temperatures getting hot and hotter. If you like the heat you can find some great buys on airfare tickets during the summer. Winter is the high season so ticket costs are often higher. If you shop you can get some great values during the spring and fall when the tourism market isn’t as intense. It’s a fantastic time to visit when the desert is in bloom and the air crisp and clean.
Teens are beautiful and unique creatures. At least this is what we as parents keep telling ourselves. The problem with teens is that their tastes and wants change almost hourly so it is quite difficult to determine at lunch what will appeal to them at dinner. Fortunately, if you are planning San Francisco vacation, California, there is most likely something that will appeal to them no matter what mood they are in at the moment.
I always recommend allowing older children and teens (even younger children in a limited capacity) to have some voice in deciding what activities to do while thinking up San Francisco vacation ideas. After all, it is their vacation too and just because we think they will like it doesn’t necessarily mean they are remotely interested in it-this goes back to the beautiful and unique creature statement.
The great thing about San Francisco is that while your teen may swing in vicious cycles between being a child and thinking he or she is grown, there is quite a lot that will appeal to both sides of your teen’s personality. Fisherman’s Wharf is probably my favorite San Francisco destination. Pier 39 offers a great number of attractions for teens. From Frequent Flyers where your teen can experience the feeling of being air born to the Riptide Arcade, with shopping, sea lions, and entertainers in between there is a lot that this area has to offer the teen in your family. You can also rent a kayak and let your teen do the navigating, if you’re really brave that is. Another attraction at Fisherman’s Wharf that your teen might find more enjoyable than anyone else in the family is the Ripley’s Believe it or Not Museum.
I think even a teenagers won’t find trolley tours beneath them. In fact, your teenager might have a great deal of fun taking one of these tours as well as accidentally learning some small nugget of information about San Francisco history that will stay with them long after the vacation is over.
If you feel up for a ride, you might consider taking your teen to Paramount’s Great America in San Jose. In fact, this is a trip that the entire family might enjoy. Little kids can enjoy the Nickelodeon characters and the rides that are designed especially with them in mind. Teens and adults can enjoy some of the more thrilling rides created for the adrenaline junkies in your life.
Your teen might get a kick out of a trip to the Wax Museum at Fisherman’s Wharf. This museum offers realistic recreations of people, events, and horrors beyond imagination-well my imagination. This is definitely one of the more interesting San Francisco vacation. Take a walk through history or onto the set of the latest horror movie. It all seems so real and the characters so life like.
Your teen may really enjoy one of the Alcatraz tours. They offer a day tour and an evening tour. I seriously recommend the evening tour if at all possible as there are more features than on the day tour and it makes a much more ‘thrilling’ experience. You may also wish to combine a tour to Angel Island with your trip to Alcatraz. Angel Island also has a rich history as well as some breathtaking views and great trails for hiking and biking. You could also consider making a day of your trip to Angel Island, especially if your teen enjoys either of these activities.
And then there’s the shopping, a favorite pastime for teen girls and a potential bonding experience for mothers and daughters. Conversely, men can bond with teenaged sons and/or daughters over a nice sports game. The bay area offers many options for sports lovers.
No matter what your teenagers tastes at the moment, I have no doubt that you will find something in this great city that you can all agree on. Be sure to work in attractions that you wish to enjoy between the attractions of your teen. This will make the interests of the other more tolerable for everyone.

When you’re planning an Alaska float fishing trip, the focus should be on the planning. Alaska sees over a million tourists every year and that means popular lodges book up fast, charters get reserved and you could get stuck without a seat.
So, plan ahead, book early and know the best places to be. To find out more on how to make your Alaskan fishing trip a hit, keep reading for tips on what to bring, the best season and where to stay.
What to Pack
Ideally, you want to pack clothes that will layer easily – keeping you prepared for hot sun, rainy days and cold nights. Choose a fabric like performance wool or a high-tech fabric that will wick away sweat, dry quickly if it gets wet and keep you warm at night.
Before you start packing all your heavy float fishing gear, double check with your lodge or charter company to see what is and isn’t included in your package. Of course, pack your favorite floats and lures, but many charter companies include larger equipment and safety gear.
Finally, invest in high-quality rain gear. While Gore-Tex may seem like the best choice, it is actually only waterproof for about four to six hours. So, though PVC rain gear can be hot, clammy and uncomfortable, it will keep you dryer for a longer period of time on rainy days.
The Best Time to Go Float Fishing in Alaska
The peak season for float fishing in Alaska is the summer, so it’s between the months of June and September. You’ll likely have warm, if not rainy, weather, great fishing and easy pickings on the water. However, the summer is also prime tourism season, which is why it’s so important to book ahead.
Great Locales for Fishing
Some of the best places for Alaska angling are
* Bristol Bay, the world’s largest salmon fishery which is also home to a wide assortment of other fish
* The Copper River Delta, a fast-moving water rich with trout
* The Kenai River, a place known for its massive king salmon, and
* Kodiak Island, home to great roadside and remote fishing locations
It’s hard not to have a successful fishing vacation trip, but with a little planning you can make any trip a great one. Just remember to hit the best fishing spots, go at the right time and pack appropriately. Also, always check with the Alaska Department of Fish and Game Sport Fish Division before you book a lodge or charter company. Their website is available at sf.adfg.state.ak.us.
The state of Arizona has so a lot to offer and with Arizona airfare being reasonable in the shoulder and off-peak seasons we really should visit and discover the state. Or you may want to visit some of the outstanding galleries the state has to offer with the rich heritage of the Native Americans, Hispanic culture and western culture all available in different locations.
This is a great way to discover your Phoenix attractions. The Heard Museum in Central Arizona is a must “visit” for anyone interested in the history of the area. Here you will be exposed to some of the best in traditional and contemporary American Indian art. You will find 10 exhibition galleries that include 5 long-term and 5 changing exhibitions with two different locations for you to visit.
While you are visiting the Central Arizona area you may wish to visit Pueblo Grande Museum which is an archaeological site museum and repository. You can see reproductions of the prehistoric Hohokam homes when exploring the ruin trail. At the site is also one of the last remaining intact Hohokam irrigation canals. This is a fantastic piece of Hohokam history.
A few hours to the southeast, you will find wonderful Tucson tourism. Travel on over to Tombstone where you can discover the Old West. Tombstone is known as “The Town Too Tough To Die,” and is the most infamous of Arizona’s old mining camps. This area produced millions of dollars of gold and silver during a seven year period. While you are visiting Tombstone you will discover the chance to visit Boothill Graveyard, the old Tombstone Courthouse and watch many of the residents dressed in period style.

We’re all looking for great deals, regardless of the industry or venue of the need. With a little effort, you can find some good ones in the world of travel, or cut out coupons to reduce costs at local stores, or simply look for discounts on items online. But when your search is particularly for home furniture, price is an increasingly significant consideration.
Whether you’re a college student just starting out or a savvy homeowner looking for a great piece at an even better price, garage sales can be a goldmine of furniture finds. To learn how to find furniture deals at garage sales, keep reading for 5 tips from the best in the business.
1. Get There Early
While sellers are more likely to part with items for less money later in the day, you’re also more likely to pick up the better items earlier in the morning. Don’t be one of those garage sale shoppers who loiters out on the front lawn at 5 in the morning, but do get there bright and early to catch the goods.
2. Shop Off-Season
Some of the best garage sale deals can be had during the off-season. From mid-winter in-home moving sales to late fall garage sale specials, you’re going to find highly motivated sellers and less competition from other shoppers.
3. Get Over the Cosmetics
If you’re going to be a great garage sale furniture finder, you need to stop looking for perfection. Instead of complaining about how an item is dirty or needs a new coat of paint, think about how easily you could clean it off or refinish it – all for a significantly lower price than buying it new.
4. Look For Quality
Remember, a low-priced, but poorly-built piece of furniture is still just poorly built. Before you jump on every bargain, make sure the foundations are there for a good piece of furniture. No matter how many times you sand down and repaint junk, it’s still going to be a piece of garbage in the end, so look for well-made furniture that you can work with and that will last for years.
5. Always Haggle
While there’s no need to be aggressive or try to low-ball your neighbors, there’s nothing wrong with a bit of friendly haggling. In fact, garage sale hosts expect it.
Some haggling strategies include always coming in at about 50 to 75% of what you actually want to pay and asking for discounts on bulk purchases. For example, if you tell your seller you’ll pay full price if they’ll throw in the matching end table for free, you’re more likely to get a better deal.
Essentially, the keys to garage sale success are getting there early, shopping in the off-season, looking past cosmetic flaws, keeping an eye out for quality and always haggling. With these five hot tips, you’ll know exactly how to find furniture deals at garage sales.
